Seattle Surgeon Named 2007 Veterinarian of the Year

BELLEVUE, Wash., Oct. 8 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Washington State Veterinary Medical Association has awarded its 2007 Veterinarian of the Year Award to veterinary surgeon, Kenneth R. Sinibaldi.

Dr. Sinibaldi owns and practices at the Animal Surgical Clinic of Seattle.

Sinibaldi received his award for his role in advancing veterinary surgery and for helping inform the public of the role and capabilities veterinarians have in maintaining and improving pet health.

A diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons since 1977, Dr. Sinabaldi specializes in orthopedic surgery. The WSVMA recognized his leadership through numerous activities in many organizations, including the Veterinary Orthopedic Society and the Association for Veterinary Orthopedic Research and Education. He is a past president and frequent lecturer for both organizations.

Dr. Sinibaldi has dedicated his entire career to developing new and improved procedures for use in veterinary surgery and sharing them with his colleagues. His surgical experience has earned him recognition around the country and he has lectured and presented more than 80 surgical seminars and published numerous articles in veterinary journals. In 2006, he received the Distinguished Veterinary Alumnus Award from Washington State University's College of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Sinibaldi received his award on September 29, during the WSVMA's annual banquet and awards ceremony in Yakima.

The WSVMA is a statewide, not-for-profit, professional organization for the benefit of veterinary medicine. The WSVMA has over 1,600 members, representing veterinarians, veterinary students and a broad spectrum of veterinary practice. The association creates a strong practice community that provides education, representation and the sharing
