Sea Colony Tennis Center Announces May and June USTA Sponsored Events

Sea Colony Tennis Center, located just south of Bethany Beach, Delaware, is gearing up to host a variety of United States Tennis Association (USTA) sponsored tournaments in May and June.

Kicking off these events is the Sea Colony Spring Junior Open for boys and girls ages 12 to 18. This tournament will be held on May 18-19 and entries are due by May 11. For more information on this event, visit http://tennislink.usta.com/Tournaments/TournamentHome/Tournament.aspx?T=123968

Sea Colony will also host the first of three Summer Junior Open events on June 28-30. Also open to both boys and girls from 12 to 18, entries for the summer event are due by June 21. Both events will feature both hard court singles and doubles tournaments and a first match loser’s consolation bracket. The cost of entry for each tournament is $33 for singles players and $18 each for doubles players.

In addition to these junior events, Sea Colony Tennis Center will host the 3rd Annual ResortQuest Pro Women’s Open at Sea Colony, a USTA Pro Circuit event taking place June 9-16. This year’s event will feature eight days of tournament play and special events, including a clinic/exhibition featuring former French Open doubles champion, Luke Jensen.

The Pro Women’s Open at Sea Colony will be preceded by the Delaware Women’s Open Championships on June 1-2, where the winner will earn a wild card entry in the Pro Women’s Open tourney. Sea Colony Tennis, under Tennis Director Thomas Johnston, offers a wide range of camps, clinics and private instruction to tennis players of all ages and skill levels.
