Scribe Debuts New Offering for Onsite Dictation Servers

Scribe now offers its proven digital dictation servers for installation at the customer’s facility. The Scribe Dictation Server includes advanced features including iPhone dictation and integration with Scribe’s Transcription Platform.

Lake Forest, IL (PRWEB) November 19, 2009 -- Scribe Healthcare Technologies, Inc. (http://www.scribe.com), announced Thursday that Scribe will be offering its time-tested dictation servers for installation at the customer’s facility. For ten years Scribe offered digital dictation as a “hosted” solution. Starting in November the same Scribe servers that produce 99.9% uptime will now be available to be installed and hosted at the customer’s location.

“As we continue to add larger hospitals and practices, it becomes less expensive for our customers to purchase our servers compared to the costs associated with long distance or toll free lines”, said John Weiss, Scribe Vice President. “As our customers considered more expensive solutions offered by other software vendors, it became clear that we had a hole in our offerings. I approached our development staff and inquired why Scribe didn’t offer a hardware/software solution. Shortly there after we decided to offer our already proven technology as a hardware/software solution”.

Scribe continues to believe that most of our customers are better served by having Scribe host the servers in Scribe datacenters. For larger facilities, Scribe can install the same server onsite for a savings of up to 40% less than competing solutions from DVI, Dolby Fusion, etc. Scribe dictation servers include a fully redundant, hosted backup solution with 800 number dictation. “While we provide 24/7 hardware and software support, if hardware fails, our customers need a
