Date:6/14/2013

Tampa, FL (PRWEB) June 14, 2013

The AICPA Maximo Mukelabai Award is designed to recognize a CPA under the age of 40 who has performed outstanding service toward the advancement, stewardship, and promotion of the accounting profession and selfless contributions to the community. Nominees are submitted by their peers, AICPA staff, or employer/state CPAs.

“It is certainly no surprise that Scott has been nominated for this prestigious award,” commented A-lign Security Director Gene Geiger. “From our early days together in the Accounting program at Florida State, to his role as leader in our profession, Scott has always strived for excellence throughout his career and I am fortunate to be a part of his management team today. His pursuit of excellence in this field is second to none.”

Scott was nominated for his heavy involvement in the formation of the accounting and auditing profession through his service in state and national organizations. Scott has accelerated his career from former manager within a Big 4 firm to cofounder of his first CPA firm at age 26, and now as the successful business owner of a well-recognized and rapidly growing CPA firm. In addition to serving as a mentor to many in the industry, Scott is widely recognized as one of the most experienced SAS 70/SSAE 16 auditor in the industry. Scott is deeply rooted in the Tampa community and supports numerous charitable events and foundations. He is best known for his business integrity, philanthropic involvement, and stellar reputation.

“I’m deeply humbled to be nominated for the Maximo Mukelabai award. Maximo was, and continues to be, such an inspiration to the accounting industry. For my contributions to be considered remotely comparable to his is an unbelievable experience in itself,” said Price.
