Scott & White Leadership Invited to National Forum on High Quality, Low-Cost H...( TEMPLE Texas Aug. 3...),Health

TEMPLE, Texas, Aug. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Scott & White Healthcare President and CEO, Alfred B. Knight, MD, recently presented at a national conference in Washington, DC titled "How Do They Do That?; Low-Cost, High-Quality Health Care in America." Scott & White Healthcare was the only Texas health care system and one of 10 health systems from across the country invited to participate in the forum.

The event was jointly hosted by The Institute for Healthcare Improvement, Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice, the Brigham and Women's Hospital Center for Surgery and Public Health, and the Engelberg Center for Health Care Reform at Brookings. "Re>Think Health", an initiative of the Fannie E. Rippel Foundation and the Peter G. Peterson Foundation, sponsored the event. Conference attendees included hospital chief executives and chief medical officers, practicing physicians, payers and insurers.
