The PBCC Announces availability of conference scholarships and travel grants for the 2009 PA Breast Cancer Coalition Annual Conference
EPHRATA, Pa., July 20 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The PA Breast Cancer Coalition (PBCC) is proud to announce the availability of scholarships and travel grants for the 2009 PA Breast Cancer Coalition Annual Conference. The Annual Conference will be held at the Harrisburg Hilton & Towers on Wednesday, October 14, 2009.
These scholarships and travel grants are available to memorialize Cary Massa, a dedicated volunteer of the PBCC. Cary's friends and family worked with the PBCC to create the Cary Massa Memorial Scholarship Fund, which provides financial assistance to those who wish to attend the PBCC Annual Conference, but are unable to due to their financial situation.
In addition, for the first time, the PBCC is offering a limited number of travel grants. These grants include one conference registration, one standard guest room at the Harrisburg Hilton for the evening of Tuesday October 13, 2009 (value approximately $150), and reimbursement for documented travel expenses.
We encourage anyone who needs assistance in paying for attendance or travel to the conference to apply, although priority is given to breast cancer survivors. All applications for travel grants must be received by August 5th and scholarship applications must be received by September 30, 2009.
