Schering-Plough to Webcast R&D Update Meeting

KENILWORTH, N.J., Nov. 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Schering-Plough Corporation (NYSE: SGP) will webcast its "R&D Update" meeting for analysts and portfolio managers being held on Monday, Nov. 24, 2008. Fred Hassan, Schering-Plough's chairman and CEO, Tom Koestler, Ph.D., executive vice president and president, Schering-Plough Research Institute, and other members of management will host the meeting. The primary purpose of the meeting is to provide an update on the company's late-stage projects in development and progress with the strategic Action Agenda, including reviews of selected projects and products.

At approximately 8:30 a.m. (EST) on that day, a live audio webcast of the meeting will be available by going to the Investor Relations section of the Schering-Plough corporate Web site, http://www.schering-plough.com, and clicking on the "Presentations/Webcasts" link. A replay of the webcast will be available starting on Nov. 24 through 5 p.m. on Dec. 24.
