se it is right on the skin.

Dr. Ben Behnam is a board certified dermatologist specializing in skin cancers. He recommends a full skin check once or twice a year. A full skin check entails checking the entire surface of the skin from head to toe including the scalp, the sole of the feet as well as the groin areas. If a mole or a lesion looks suspicious, a biopsy is performed and is sent to a dermatopathologist for further evaluation. In most cases, the biopsy will indicate whether a lesion is cancerous or benign.
A routine skin check can save lives. The skin check typically takes 5 to 10 minutes. It is a very simple procedure to catch a very deadly disease at a very early stage.
