Saks' Key to the Cure Shopping Weekend to Benefit Henry Ford Health System

DETROIT, Oct. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Saks Fifth Avenue at Somerset Collection in Troy is offering the public an opportunity to shop while raising money to support research and treatment for women's cancers as part of its annual Key to the Cure Charity Shopping Weekend, Oct. 15-18.

During the charity shopping weekend, 2 percent of sales at Saks Fifth Avenue in Troy will benefit the Josephine Ford Cancer Center and the Francee & Benson Ford Jr. Breast Care & Wellness Center at Henry Ford Health System.

To kick-off the shopping weekend, Saks will host a special event from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15 at Saks Fifth Avenue, Somerset Collection. Called "Girls Night Out," the event will feature cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, makeup artists, psychics, DJ entertainment, gifts and prizes.

Tickets for the kick-off event are $75, and include a special gift, while Friend Tickets are $55. Both tickets include a $50 Saks Fifth Avenue gift card, redeemable Oct. 15 in cosmetics and fragrances at Saks in Troy. Proceeds from the kick-off event will benefit the Josephine Ford Cancer Center.
