Sacramento Personal Injury firm, Demas Law Group P.C., Continues the “Green Apple Award” School Supplies Gift Program
Date:9/9/2013

Sacramento, CA (PRWEB) September 09, 2013

John Demas, a Sacramento personal injury attorney, implemented the “Green Apple Award Program” last year as a way of giving back to the community. Mr. Demas and the attorneys at Demas Law Group are continuing this program to assist teachers in purchasing supplies for their classrooms. Every week, a drawing will be held to choose a teacher from Sacramento, Yolo, Placer or El Dorado public schools who has been nominated to win a $250 OfficeMax gift card.

According to recent statistics, teachers are spending their own earnings to supplement lean classroom budgets. Surveys show that 91 percent of teachers spend their own money on classroom supplies and necessities. In 2009 to 2011, teachers spent more than $1.33 billion in out-of-pocket expenses for supplies and instructional materials.

In order to qualify for the Green Apple Award, nominators and teachers must adhere to the guidelines below:

John Demas and the attorneys at Demas Law Group hope that the Green Apple Award Program helps hardworking teachers supply their classrooms with the necessary items they need to enhance the their students’ education.
