After beating out 3 other agencies in a creative pitch, the agency was awarded the integrated marketing account for Durex(R), the world's #1 condom brand, and will handle all U.S. advertising responsibilities for the company's fast growing condom and intimacy brands.

The Durex win follows three additional wins this year for the agency which recently relaunched under the Saatchi & Saatchi Wellness (SSW) name. Previously the agency was known as Saatchi & Saatchi Consumer Health+Wellness. The other wins were for undisclosed new products that also fit well within the wellness spectrum.
The 80-year-old Durex brand is the global leader in the condom market, which is doing quite well in these recessionary times. In the US sales of condoms rose 5% in the fourth quarter of 2008, and 6% in January vs. the same time periods the previous year according to national audit data.
To help Durex(R) distinguish itself in the category, SSW has created a brand positioning that builds the unique offerings and characteristics of the brand in the category. The agency approaches all brand assignments in a media neutral way, enabling it to create deep and rich communications that cross all channels.
