SURF CRUISE CUP 2009

SAN PEDRO, Calif., Oct. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- On October 25th on the "Mariner of the Seas," the 11th annual surf cruise to Mexico will host their 2nd annual SURF CRUISE CUP charity events, featuring an all star line up of professional surfers, musicians, artists and movie star icons sailing, surfing and partying together Halloween week.

The charity mission includes the W Hollywood Lions Club Global Surf Charities and Fender Museum's Kids Rock Free music education program. The Lions Global Surf includes California Surf Museum, Surfaid International, Surfing Heritage Foundation and Life Rolls On.

Jesse Billauer, founder of Life Rolls On, the surf/sport spinal cord injury foundation, will be aboard the 2009 SURF CRUISE CUP, joining Robert August, Mary Osborne, the bands Pepper, Jonathan Blake, Dubluva and pro-surfer singer songwriter Dustin Franks. Life Rolls On recently merged with the Christopher and Dana Reeves Foundation to become the largest single spinal cord injury foundation in the world.

Also aboard the ship this year will be legendary surf and music industry illustrator Roy Gonzalez who for over 30 years has 'detailed' the fantasy sensibilities of surfing, skating, hot rodding, team sports and the music industry superstars. His 'Monster Island' cartoon series and other of his celebrity caricatures will be featured in the Surf Shop at Sea aboard the Mariner of the Seas.

The music festival will start Oct 25th at sea as Dustin Franks performs new tracks from his first self-titled release. Pepper, Jonathan Blake and Dubluva will perform at the beautiful Cabo Surf Resort opening day of the 'Cup' in Cabo San Lucas October 27th, then on to Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta for additional SURF CRUISE CUP events and a shipwide Halloween party Oct 31st.

At sea on October 30th Robert August and surf comedian Jaz Kaner will emcee a 'midnight special' 50 years surf and music show in the main thea
