STAAR Surgical Announces First Quarter 2008 Earnings Release Date and Conference Call

MONROVIA, Calif., April 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- STAAR Surgical Company (Nasdaq: STAA) today announced that it will release financial results for the first quarter ended March 28, 2008 on Tuesday, May 6, 2008 after the market close. The Company will host a conference call and webcast on Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time to discuss the Company's first quarter and current corporate developments. The dial-in number for the conference call is 866-250-3615 for domestic participants and 303-262-2004 for international participants.

A taped replay of the conference call will also be available beginning approximately one hour after the call's conclusion and will be available for seven days. This replay can be accessed by dialing 800-405-2236 for domestic callers and 303-590-3000 for international callers, both using passcode 11113294#.
