SSI Group to Integrate Boston Software Systems' Boston WorkStation Into ClickON PREVENT

Combined Solution Sets New Standard in More Efficient Registration and Revenue Cycle Management Processes

MOBILE, Ala., May 19 /PRNewswire/ -- The SSI Group, Inc. (SSI) announced today that it has agreed to partner with Boston Software Systems to offer an enhancement to an SSI product. SSI's ClickON(R) PREVENT (Precise Registration, Edit Validation and Enterprise Tracking) will be powered by Boston Software Systems' flagship workflow automation technology Boston WorkStation(TM) to provide a new workflow solution that will enhance the registration process and expedite revenue cycle management.

ClickON(R) PREVENT is a Web-based, revenue cycle product that currently enables healthcare facilities to avoid registration errors and reduce denials through real-time HL7 transactions in eligibility, compliance, authorizations and referrals. It works in four different phases of the patient's stay including Registration/Admissions/Scheduling, Order Entry, Medical Records and Pre-Billing. The new integrated product will permit users to access immediate correction information during each phase instead of at the completion of each phase.

"Reducing errors and improving claims management have become top priorities for healthcare providers. We chose to partner with SSI because PREVENT, unlike other systems does the work upfront. SSI is bringing its back-end scrubbing expertise and edit suites to the registration area, where most of the billing errors are made," said Steve Cohen, Chief Operating Officer of Boston Software Systems. "Integrating the power of Boston WorkStation enhances real-time decision support for registrars and reduces the errors that cause insurance payment denials or delays. SSI Group will be able to offer a stronger, more efficient product to its customers."

"PREVENT was designed to correct errors after each phase through an HL7 feed," said Bobby Zimmerman, Assistant Vice President of Channel Sales for SSI. "We found several customers who wanted the error information to show up immediately so the user making the error could correct it in real-time. Boston WorkStation gives us the ability to produce the immediate resolution those users desire at the earliest point in the patient encounter. It has been a great collaborative effort between SSI Group and Boston Software Systems."
