SPC Works Releases SPC Software for Process Automation
Date:5/17/2010

Software now offers support for process automation with an easy to use interface

Seattle, WA (PRWEB) May 17, 2010 -- SPC Works, the developer of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data collection software, announces the release of SPC Works Automation 4.0, an integrated quality control tool designed specifically for process automation. The software offers many new enhancements for statistical process control, and ease of use.

Significant new features enable the software to integrate with automated processes. "SPC Works is able to become part of an automated process. It collects data, analyzes it, and if necessary takes action by communicating back to the process or a person. It can actually be hands free," says Peery, owner and founder of SPC Works.

SPC Works interface is also easy to use. "I found that most commercially available SPC software was loaded with unnecessary features. It was confusing. These software should be intuitive and easy to navigate. So I developed SPC Works," says Peery. "The result is our users spend less time learning software and more time completing their work objectives."

First released in 2005, SPC Works is a hands free tool that automatically collects data, analyzes statistical process control, and responds to out-of-control or out-of-specification processes.

Significant New Features Include:
Automated data collection - automatically collect data from serial/USB connections (RS232), OPC servers, and text files.
Alarms - alarms automatically respond to an out-of-control or out-of-specification state by writing to an OPC server or sending an email.
Interactive (clickable) control charts - hover or click control charts or capability charts to quickly get more detailed information.
Visual Logbook - record the process history and display it on control charts to assist in identifying special causes of variation.
Images - reduce data collection errors by displaying images of specific parts or dimensions to workers.
