SKyPRO Releases Public Beta of GWTalk at BrainShare

SKyPRO is releasing a public beta version of GWTalk, their Soft Phone Client developed specifically for the Novell GroupWise user communities.

Amsterdam, NL (PRWEB) April 21, 2010 -- SKyPRO is releasing a public beta version of GWTalk, their Soft Phone Client developed specifically for the Novell GroupWise user communities.

GWTalk is a free soft phone client that integrates with Novell GroupWise. GWTalk connects all users to the GWTalk Network allowing them to make calls and IM each other for free.

In its free version GWTalk allows the use of GW address books, in addition to the ability to import other address books, Skype integration, call history, two phone lines available for conferencing and SMS messaging. In its release version users can add functions and features such as, up to 4 additional phone lines, extended GroupWise integration, a direct in-dial-number, capability to connect to several phone systems or even a hosted PBX, and more to come.

SKyPRO is the only company that is actively developing collaborative communications solutions for the Novell GroupWise user base. “SKyPRO has extensive Novell domain expertise having been a Novell partner for over 20 years and we saw an underserved market for communications in the GroupWise Arena” said Horst Fuhrmann CEO of SKyPRO from the floor of the Brainshare exhibition. “We wanted to provide the GroupWise users with enhanced communications capabilities all tightly linked to GroupWise”.

The package, that SKyPRO is making available at Brainshare in Amsterdam and made available to all the GroupWise users attending BrainShare In Salt Lake City earlier this year, includes a free download of the SKyPRO GWTalk soft phone Client, a USB Handset ( to ensure crystal clear call quality), and free membership in the GWTalk network with free calls and IM chat to all other members of the network. SKyPRO, in addition, generously provides 130 minutes of free talk time to any landline or cell phone in the continental US (similar times in Europe), and 20 free SMS, to cell phones.

“The addition by SKyPRO of Unified Communications enhancements to GroupWise with their generous offer of both GWTalk and access to the GWTalk Network helped make a great product, GroupWise, even better” said Alex Evans, GroupWise Product Manager from Novell “You have to take your hat off to the folks at SKyPRO, they saw a market need that was not being served and they delivered with Voice, IM and SMS functionality all residing in, and launchable from the GroupWise Toolbar”.

GWTalk – giving the GroupWise community a (free) voice!

SKyPRO is a 23 year old Swiss firm that is the leading company for unified communications add-on software for Novell GroupWise. SKyPRO has offices in Switzerland, the United States and Eastern Europe. Information on SKyPRO can be found at
