Celebrities Attend Sold Out Event at Santa Anita Race Track
ARCADIA, Calif., March 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Santa Anita Race Track -- Approximately 320 guests and celebrities gathered on Sunday March 16th, to attend the second annual gala "Racing for Hope". Donors raised $150,000 to fight cancer while enjoying a sophisticated and exciting day of horseracing. The sold out charity event, founded by Marc and Renee Paul was hosted on a gorgeous spring day overlooking famous Santa Anita Park with proceeds benefiting City of Hope.

This year's proceeds will go toward City of Hope's Pediatric Center to further its research, treatment, and special programs for children battling cancer. Last year's event's proceeds benefited City of Hope's Dr. Karen Aboody to further her research using gene therapy to treat primary and metastic brain tumors.
Celebrity guests included Actor Scott Elrod from ABC's "Men in Trees", as MC, and Nancy O'Dell, co-anchor of Access Hollywood. Hall of fame jockeys' attended including Gary Stevens, featured in the recent racing moving "Seabiscuit". Nancy O'Dell gave a heartwarming speech where she shared "that without City of Hope's treatment of her father's cancer -- he would not have lived to see his granddaughter".
