Partnership tees off with golf tournament on August 4th, 2008

Woburn, MA (PRWEB) July 30, 2008 -- Savings Bank Life Insurance of Massachusetts today announced that it will partner with Ovations for the Cure to promote awareness for ovarian cancer. The two organizations will kick off the partnership with the Driving for a Cure Golf Tournament on August 4th, 2008 at the Weston Golf Club in Weston, MA.

"We are very pleased to be working with Ovations for the Cure to support such an important cause," said SBLI President and CEO, Robert K. Sheridan. "All of us at SBLI recognize the need for early detection and treatment of such a devastating illness, and we are committed to aiding them in the great work they are doing."

As a leading life insurance provider, SBLI has been involved with many campaigns to raise awareness of health issues, most recently with Tedy Bruschi and his stroke foundation Tedy's Team. The national reach of both SBLI and Ovations for the Cure will bring the important message of ovarian cancer detection and treatment to millions of people across the United States.

About Ovations for the Cure
The Ovations for the Cure Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) not-for profit organization, is dedicated to the relentless pursuit of a cure for ovarian cancer in two critical ways: first by proliferating broad-spectrum awareness of ovarian cancer risk factors and its subtle warning signs; and second, through the continued support of new and ongoing ovarian cancer research and treatment initiatives.
