WARRENDALE, Pa., Oct. 12 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Helping its employees to live a healthy lifestyle long has been a priority at SAE International. Recently, the American Heart Association (AHA) recognized SAE for those efforts.

SAE International was named a Start! Fit Friendly Company, an honor presented to only a handful of organizations in Pittsburgh and less than 50 across Pennsylvania.

What does it mean? In short, it means that SAE International provides the equipment, services and programs to promote health and wellness to its employees.

SAE International has been recognized at the Gold Level, which means that it:

-- Offers physical activity at the worksite, including an exercise room

and a fitness studio

-- Has increased the number of healthy eating options available

-- Promotes a wellness culture at the worksite

-- Embraces at least nine criteria as outlined by the AHA in the areas

of physical activity, nutrition and culture
