Each quilter donated $5 to be eligible to prove his/her ironing skills as they bravely took on a fellow opponent and ironed a pink shirt in less than two minutes. More than 200 aspiring winners participated in the event.

In addition, Rowenta is selling its specially designed Pink Iron at the Houston Quilt Festival with 100% of the profits going directly to BCRF. This is the third year that Rowenta has partnered with BCRF; last year, over $114,000 was donated by the company to BCRF through fundraising efforts.

Rowenta USA, headquartered in West Orange, NJ, is the leading manufacturer of high-performance irons.
