avid R. Wood Associates, a branding consultancy firm. The company was acquired by Interbrand's parent group, Omnicom, and merged to become Interbrand Wood Healthcare. During his career, Wood was involved in the creation of branding for 40 of the world's 100 top selling drugs, including Zocor, Prozac, Viagra, Plavix, Advair, Singular, and Celebrex. David Wood passed away last year at age 64.

In addition to these three inductees, the Medical Advertising Hall of Fame will honor another individual at its Awards Dinner, giving its Lifetime Achievement Award to Raymond Gosselin.

Raymond Gosselin's long career in healthcare included the creation of the first significant market research measurement, the National Prescription Audit, which became an invaluable tool in healthcare marketing. Audatrex, a subsequent product, tracked market penetration, market share development, and physician preference. His company, the R.A. Gosselin became part of IMS Health. In addition to the creation of major industry metrics, he was the longest-serving president of the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy, and served as editor and publisher of Pharmacy Times from 1987 to 1993. He passed away in 1999.

The Medical Advertising Hall of Fame Annual Awards Dinner will be held Tuesday, February 10th, at the Pierre Hotel in New York with a cocktail party beginning at 6:00 pm. Tickets for the Dinner will go on sale on the Medical Advertising Hall of Fame Website (http://www.mahf.com) on November 14th.

The Medical Advertising Hall of Fame was founded in 1996 to honor those who have made significant contributions to the medical advertising profession, document the history of the industry, and attract next-generation talent to the medical advertising profession. Its membership is open to healthcare advertising agencies and publications, and currently consists of the leaders
