Date:9/2/2014

Attorney Robert M. Higgins has been named by Best Lawyers® as the 2015 "Lawyer of the Year" for Medical Malpractice Law - Plaintiffs. Higgins is a partner with Lubin & Meyer PC, Boston, and has been selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America each year since 2008. Only one lawyer in each practice area and designated metropolitan area is honored as the “Lawyer of the Year,” based on particularly impressive voting averages received during the peer-review assessments.

The Best Lawyers designation reflects the high level of respect a lawyer has earned among other leading lawyers in the same communities and the same practice areas for their abilities, their professionalism, and their integrity.

These verdicts follow a $14.5 million award for the failure of doctors to diagnose and treat an infection leading to the death of 40-year-old woman and a $13.5 million verdict for the failure of doctors to diagnose and treat abdominal compartment syndrome leading to the death of a 30-year-old woman.
