Rob Lowe Hosts an Upcoming "On Demand" Segment on Innovations in Integrative Medicine
Date:7/22/2018

In an upcoming episode of “On Demand,” host Rob Lowe opens a piece that focuses on innovations in Integrative Medicine.

Integrative Medicine is a type of medicine that considers the well-being the whole person when addressing an issue. It also takes their lifestyle and habits into account. Integrative Medicine is a discipline that hones in on the curative relationship between the patient and medical profession, using evidence and both traditional and alternative methods of therapies.

Research into innovations in the discipline include the following suggestions:

*Mind-body techniques are multi-pronged intersessions that impact numerous facets of a person’s health and overall well-being.

*Tai Chi and Qigong could help prevent the degeneration of patients with dementia and help Parkinson’s patients walk with a steadier gait.

*The practices of yoga and meditation can play a significant role in reducing stress.

However, continued research is needed to determine how the individual physiology of a person’s body influences success, along with the combination of these possibilities with other treatments or medications. The series will feature medical personnel that can talk about the outcomes they consistently see with in Integrative approach.

Hosted by award winner Rob Lowe, “On Demand” is a series delving into matters significant in contemporary society. The professionally-produced and edited segments have earned the series numerous awards throughout the world for the series’ relevance and production quality.
