Riviera Laser Studios Selects Artefill to Meet Growing Patient Demand for a Longer Lasting Dermal Filler
Date:8/12/2009

DANA POINT, Calif., Aug. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Drs. Mark and Jeannine Kofford at Riviera Laser Studios have selected Artefill, the first and only FDA-approved microsphere-enhanced collagen filler for the correction of smile lines, to treat patients who are looking for a longer lasting dermal filler. Drs. Kofford have been avid Artefill users the past several years due to its proven success and effectiveness for the correction of wrinkles.

They commented, "We have been using Artefill since 2006 in response to patient demand for a filler that is significantly longer lasting than the 6 month to one year temporary fillers. Our regular patients realized that the cost of continuing to return for temporary fillers adds up, costs time and results in some discomfort. Immediately, these patients lined up for this new filler."

"As experienced injectors of fillers, we were pleasantly surprised that Artefill is actually smoother and easier to inject than other popular fillers. If given the choice, we would choose Artefill for almost every patient for beautiful, smooth, natural and long lasting results. We often use Artefill in conjunction with our other laser procedures to compensate for the volume loss of aging. We have found that used in this manner, Artefill can approximate natural facelift results at a fraction of the cost, and without the risks of going under the knife," Drs. Kofford continued.

This in-office procedure takes approximately thirty minutes to complete. A patient is injected with Artefill similar to other dermal fillers with the key difference being its lasting effect. The unique microspheres in Artefill are not absorbed by the body and therefore provide the support the skin needs for long lasting natural feeling results. This is different from temporary dermal fillers that are made of different kinds of natural or synthetic materials that are completely absorbed by the bod
