Rittenhouse Women's Wellness Center: Internal Medicine plus Nutrition, Fitness, Emotional Well-Being and Skin Care
Date:11/10/2008

New center adds wellness services to internal medicine, combining nutrition education, fitness planning, emotional support and skin care services with

primary care in one location.

PHILADELPHIA, Nov. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Doctor Leslie Saltzman D.O., a Philadelphia-based internist, has announced the launch of the Rittenhouse Women's Wellness Center, the first primary medical care outpatient center offering integrated services to support women's overall health and wellness. The Center offers patients an innovative program that delivers comprehensive wellness services in one convenient location at 1632 Pine Street, near Rittenhouse Square in Philadelphia.

At the Rittenhouse Women's Wellness Center, Dr. Saltzman begins all patient care at Rittenhouse Internal Medicine, her primary care practice, and then adds expert support from a nutritionist, a psychologist, fitness professionals, and a certified aesthetician. Each specialty area is led by experienced and accredited female experts in their respective fields, all of whom provide personalized wellness services and health advice tailored to each client's unique needs and goals.

All women of any age can visit the Center to receive expert medical care, or to consult with the in-house experts about their nutritional, fitness, emotional or skin care concerns. Women have the option to schedule an introductory Total Wellness visit -- a half-day comprehensive set of personalized consultations with every specialty area of the Center. At the conclusion of this visit, the team of wellness specialists collaborate to review and assess the client's health and wellness status and goals. In a follow-up visit, Dr. Saltzman meets with the patient to provide her with a Prescription for Total Wellness, which includes comprehensive advice and recommended steps toward total wellness.

"At the Rittenhouse Women's Wellness Center, we believe that health and well-being span all aspects of women's lives, including nutrition, emotional health, physical fitness, and even skin care and aesthetics in terms of boosting self-esteem. We want to help our clients strike a balance between all of these areas," says Dr. Saltzman, Medical Director of the Center. "Incorporating healthier everyday habits and attitudes into an individual's diet, physical activity, skin care regimen and overall lifestyle can help enhance a woman's quality of life today and well into the future. Our mission at the newly opened Rittenhouse Women's Wellness Center is to help women better manage their health from all of these angles."
