Ricochet PR Names Valerie Carter Vice President of Washington, D.C. Public Affairs Practice

Veteran of Merck and PMI’S public affairs teams adds deep healthcare and industry domain expertise.

New York, NY (PRWEB) February 22, 2010 – Ricochet Public Relations Inc., a stakeholder communications and reputation management firm working in healthcare, technology and industry, today named Valerie Carter as Vice President of its Washington, D.C. public affairs practice.

Ms. Carter is a 20-year veteran of the public affairs and government relations fields. In Washington, she will provide a variety of public affairs services to Ricochet clientele, including grassroots and grasstops organizing, coalition building, third party advocacy and congressional outreach.

Ms. Carter began her career at Merck & Co., Inc., where for 15 years she held positions in both public affairs and government relations, including managing Merck’s grassroots programs, the Merck PAC, and Merck’s congressional education and outreach initiatives. Prior to joining the Ricochet team, Valerie managed the government affairs office for the Project Management Institute (PMI), where she was responsible for strategy and implementation of government advocacy and outreach initiatives with Congress and federal agencies.
