Date:8/26/2014

Pawtucket, RI (PRWEB) August 26, 2014

Tunstall Healthcare Group, the world leader in remote care and safety monitoring, has signed an agreement with Health Touch Rhode Island to provide personal emergency response (PERS) for Rhode Island seniors and disabled populations. The service, branded “Health Touch”, will be delivered from Tunstall Americas’ operations center in Pawtucket.

Casey Pittock, President and CEO of Tunstall Americas stated, “I am delighted that Health Touch, a VNA of Care New England provider, has chosen to partner with Tunstall. This is truly a Rhode Island collaboration and it is excellent for our 300 Rhode Island employees to know that they are helping to save lives in their own communities here as well as across the entire US. I’m equally delighted that VNA of Care New England has recognized how our new range of solutions and strong customer service will benefit their clients and help them remain safe and independent at home.”

Tunstall offers a wide variety of medical alert solutions to meet the needs of all people, including traditional telephone based, cellular, and mobile devices. These products all have the option of automatic fall detection which is an important technology innovation that mitigates some of the challenges at-risk populations have both at home and when out and about.

Gena Gambuto, the Business Operations Manager for Health Touch Rhode Island, said, "We are excited to be working with a local provider. We believe that our services combined with Tunstall's PERS will help our members live safely and independently in the comfort of their own homes. Only a couple of manufacturers whose products are FDA approved, have USA-based call centers and employ staff that can communicate with our French, Spanish, and Portuguese patient base, and we are pleased that Tunstall Americas offers this full range of languages and services right here in Pawtucket."
