Nuance's Dictaphone Healthcare Solutions Division becomes newest reseller

of Revolabs' award-winning xTag wireless microphone

MAYNARD, Mass., Feb. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Revolabs, the leading provider of wireless audio products for enhancing collaboration, today announced that the Dictaphone Healthcare Solutions division of Nuance will now offer the Revolabs xTag Wireless Microphone alongside its Dragon(R) NaturallySpeaking(R) Medical speech recognition software solution.

The xTag wireless microphone's wide band audio combined with HIPAA compliance security, complements the Dragon NaturallySpeaking Medical dictation software, which is the most widely used and successful general-purpose speech-enabled clinical documentation solution in the healthcare industry. Now, medical personnel do not need to be tethered to a computer as the xTag wireless microphone allows for natural mobility and is rechargeable -- eliminating the need to wear a headset or a bulky transmitter.

"Dragon NaturallySpeaking Medical is an integral part of healthcare providers' clinical documentation process; it is used by more than 50,000 clinicians in the US today to document care, directly into an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) application in Microsoft Word, or in other clinical software," said Peter Durlach, senior vice president, marketing and product strategy, Dictaphone Healthcare Solutions, Nuance. "By offering Revolabs' xTag Wireless Microphone with Dragon Medical, we are enabling physicians to further simplify the way they practice medicine and document care by freeing them from the bounds of their workstation and the keyboard."

"Revolabs is pleased to be working with a company that is world-renowned in the industry for the quality of its healthcare solutions, especially speech recognition software," said Martin Bodley, president of Revolabs. "The combination of the xTag wireless microphone and Nuance's Dragon NaturallySpeaking Medical software allows healthcare professionals to quickly and easily dictate into Microsoft Word(R) or EMR systems."

Dragon NaturallySpeaking Medical is sold by the Dictaphone Healthcare Solutions sales team as well as through value added resellers (VARs). For more information please visit: http://www.nuance.com/dictaphone/naturallyspeaking/ or call 1-888-350-4836.
