Date:3/11/2010

Heights need a trusted voice in Washington.

Rev. Faulkner will provide leadership with integrity, honesty and civility to the citizens of the 15th Congressional district, leadership which sets an example for the community, leadership which helps the community rise above the need for government dependency and bailouts, leadership which enables the citizens to realize their God-given potential.

About Michel Faulkner
Serving the city of New York for more than 20 years, Michel Faulkner got his start by playing in the NFL for the New York Jets in 1981 after graduating from Virginia Tech as an All-American. The next year, he returned to school to earn graduate degrees in education and career counseling.

Michel founded New Horizon Church of New York in Harlem in 2006. He previously served on Mayor Rudy Giuliani’s Task Force on Police Community Relations, and co-chaired the New York City Board of Education’s HIV/AIDS Task Force, was the Commissioner of the City Charter Review initiative and served as the Vice President for Community Government Relations at King’s College.

In addition to numerous radio and TV appearances, including Live with Regis and Kelly, Michel ran the Richmond Marathon in 2009 to raise money for the Run for Change Diabetes Awareness Campaign. He and his wife have been married for nearly 30 years and have three children.
