DETROIT, Sept. 21 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Rev. Dr. Wendell Anthony, President, Detroit Branch NAACP, will be a featured panelists and moderator during the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) Foundation's 2009 Annual Legislative Conference.
On Thursday, September 24, 2009, Rev. Anthony will serve as a panelist during the Health Care Issue Forum, "Making the Dream of Guaranteed Health Care for All a Reality." Other panelist include: Jacob Hacker, a Yale University Professor who is a health policy expert; Mary Wooley, President, Research America; Jane Hamsher, Founder, Firedoglake.com; Eva Gittelsen, Daily Kos and Claudia Feagan, former president, Physician for a National Health Program. This panel will take place from 2:00 p.m. - 3:50 p.m. at the Washington Convention Center in Room 209-A.
On Friday, September 25, 2009, Rev. Anthony will moderate a panel on Racial Profiling, "Perspectives on Racial Profiling: Ensuring Equality Before the Law." The panel will feature Professor Charles Ogletree from Harvard University Law School; Professor David Harris from the University of Pittsburgh Law School; Ron Hampton, Executive Director, National Black Policy Association; Hilary Shelton, Director -- Washington Bureau, NAACP; Roger Gordon, Executive Director, CLEAR and Dr. Ron Walters, Director, African American Leadership Institute. This panel will take place from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. in Room 145-B at the Washington Convention Center.
