Date:2/24/2010

trusted and loved Dr. Arkins.  And as he and Anne have spoken to couples at our Weekend to Remember marriage conferences, tens of thousands more all over the country have benefited from their wisdom, insight and humor," said Dr. Dennis Rainey, president of FamilyLife.  "Now through the generosity of The Walton Family Foundation and in honor of Dr. Arkins' work through the years, more couples will find hope and help for their marriages."

Dr. Arkins is a graduate of the University of Arkansas School of Pharmacy and the University of Arkansas College of Medicine and served as a family practice physician in Bentonville, Arkansas.  Prior to becoming a physician, Dr. Arkins spent six years as a registered pharmacist in Fayetteville.  He is a founding elder of Fellowship Bible Church of Northwest Arkansas and has served as a board member of Mercy Health System of Northwest Arkansas, Bank of Bentonville, Bentonville/Bella Vista Rotary Club and the Bentonville/Bella Vista Chamber of Commerce.  It is the desire of the Walton Family Foundation to honor Dr. Arkins for his faithful service as a physician in Northwest Arkansas.
