SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- More children die every year from preventable injuries than from all childhood illnesses combined! Determined to ease anxiety in the minds of parents leaving their children with caregivers, Britt Michaelian, mother of three with a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy and experience working in the pediatric unit of a San Francisco hospital, is launching Responsible Family Company, LLC. On October 1, 2007, the first product to be released on Amazon.com and the Responsible Family website is Care for Kids: The Essential Guide to Preparing Caregivers, a groundbreaking DVD that will arm caregivers with safety, discipline and practical information while featuring medical expertise provided by Dr. Wayne Warrington, an emergency department physician.

"Right now, with millions of toys and cribs being recalled, parents are understandably worried. My company is designed to give parents and caregivers tools to raise kids responsibly in an easy to use, friendly format," Michaelian explains. Products in development include a toy safety program, more educational parenting DVDs, media designed for families with children on the autistic spectrum, items that inspire families to live green, as well as a family bonding workbook entitled Glue.

With a background as an exhibiting artist, filmmaker and photographer, in addition to a history in counseling, Britt Michaelian, is extremely qualified to share her expert insights with other parents and caregivers. Michaelian says, "Being a parent is hard. Our mission is to provide a place for parents to learn, ask questions about and explore how they can be more responsible. We are carving out a place in the industry as the authority on responsibility."
