Resolution Health Introduces Women's Health and Wellness Action Campaign
Date:8/12/2008

Personalized, Interactive, Multimedia Program to Increase Breast and

Cervical Cancer Screening Rates

COLUMBIA, Md., Aug. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Resolution Health, Inc., an industry-leading personal health care guidance company, today announced the launch of their Women's Health and Wellness Action Campaign. This innovative member outreach program is designed to help increase the prevention and early detection of breast and cervical cancers in women. It offers an award-winning, personalized and interactive approach to reach and engage out-of-compliance individuals and is available to all health benefit plans to offer to their members.

Resolution Health's comprehensive program begins with claims analysis to identify health plan members who have not undergone recommended mammogram or cervical cancer screenings. The Action Campaign reaches out to members on behalf of their health plan using phone-based, speech-enabled technology provided by Eliza Corporation. These interactive calls engage the member in conversation about the importance of preventive cancer screenings and assess and address a member's planned behavior regarding these screenings - including any potential barriers to have the tests. Based upon a member's spoken responses, education and support follow-up is offered.

These member responses trigger a personalized follow-up mailing, providing actionable information on the importance of these screenings and addressing personal barriers to healthy behavior identified during the phone call. Depending upon a health plan's benefit design, the mailing may also include a gift card incentive offer to reward members who complete the recommended procedures. The use of an incentive complements this member communication to drive behavioral change toward healthy behavior. This aspect of the program is managed by IncentOne, a leading provider of integrated incentive solutions.

"The Women's Health and Wellness Action Campaign uses an integrated and interactive approach toward personal guidance and motivation," said Earl P. Steinberg, MD, MPP, president and CEO of Resolution Health. "It combines our expertise in data analytics, behavioral science and personalized messaging; and demonstrates our commitment to improving health and wellness for each plan member."

The Women's Health and Wellness Action Campaign aims to improve compliance with Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS(R)) measures, which are used to assess individual health plan's performance on important dimensions of care and service. Resolution Health has conducted a variety of successful outreach campaigns, achieving impressive compliance improvement results for breast and cervical cancer screenings. In fact, Resolution Health piloted a similar, award-winning preventive health program with Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey in 2006, partnering with Eliza Corporation and IncentOne. The program received the "Best Use of Technology to Promote Patient Care" award from the Consumer Directed Health Care Conference/National Health, Wellness, Prevention & Fitness Congress.
