Research and Forecast of China’s Dietary Supplement (Health Food) Industry, 2013-2017
Date:10/23/2013

London (PRWEB) October 23, 2013

Since 2005, China’s dietary supplement (health food) industry has presented rapid development trend and the market demand also increases continuously. In 2012, the scale of dietary supplement industry has reached CNY 158.4 billion, ranked the second all over the world. However, as for the product distribution and sales channels, China’s dietary supplement industry is still in the initial stage in the development history of European and American markets.

According to the statistics of China Health Care Association, there were 2025 dietary supplement enterprises in China by H1 of 2012. According to the survey of 2951 kinds of dietary supplements, it’s found that 767 of them are counterfeit products. The reason is that the huge market potential and serious buyer’s market nature lead to high gross profit margin (as high as 200%) in China’s dietary supplement industry, which lead to the enterprises with varying qualities coexist in this industry.

This report mainly includes the following aspects: policy environment, industry status quo, market scale, development in key regions, import and export characteristics, development trend, investment opportunities and investment risks; and also pays particular emphasis on eight key enterprises. In addition, this report also analyzes the industry existing problems, influencing factors and consumer demand characteristics.
