Clevens Face and Body Specialists are excited to announce this summer’s arrival of a new COO, David Barrera. Coming from Health Management Associates (HMA), Barrera’s extensive background in employee and operational management will be greatly welcomed. The shared goal of maximizing the potential of this growing medical practice is guaranteed to make this new partnership a long-term success.

As COO, Barrera will be responsible for setting up and implementing programs designed to improve the overall quality and service at the Clevens offices. His primary focus will be on strategic business development, employee motivation, and talent management; all factors that will lead toward future practice expansion.

With a distinguished reputation for improving overall employee satisfaction, Barrera has a long history of lowering turnover rates for his past employers. His experience in human resources provides him with the skills to coach his employees, provide feedback, and build a committed, positive work environment. Barrera is truly passionate about creating a workspace that is an enjoyable place to be.

Barrera comes with over 15 years of experience in the healthcare industry. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a master’s degree in Public Administration, with a focus on Organizational Development. Barrera is currently an active board and committee member for several non-profit organizations in Brevard County.

The leadership style that inspires Barrera’s professional life is that of Walt Disney, the Dahlia Lama, and Steve Jobs. Aside from practice administration, Barrera is also a highly regarded motivational speaker, talking to multiple business and community groups each year. While all a
