Satellite Healthcare Senior Director of Quality Honored By National Kidney Foundation

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., April 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Satellite Healthcare, one of the nation's first and leading providers of kidney dialysis services and a major sponsor of nephrology research, today announced its Senior Director of Quality will be honored by the National Kidney Foundation at their Champions of Hope Awards dinner on Thursday, April 23 at Yoshi's Jazz Club in San Francisco.

Linda McCann, R.D., C.S.R., L.D. has been a renal dietitian for more than 36 years (26 with Satellite Healthcare) and is one of the most respected renal dietitians in the nation. Ms. McCann is responsible for all nutrition services for all divisions of Satellite Healthcare. She also serves as the clinical liaison to the Information Systems and Technology department and oversees the SPIN and SPIN-MD programs. Ms. McCann has published over 20 articles in a variety of professional journals and has written several book chapters on renal nutrition. She has spoken to and trained many professionals, patients, and others around the world on various topics related to renal nutrition. Ms. McCann has been a volunteer of the NKF since 1981.
