Registration for November 7th Center for Hispanic Leadership Hispanic Workforce and Economic Development Summit ClosesTonight
Date:11/4/2013

Columbus, Ohio (PRWEB) November 04, 2013

Since 2000, Ohio's Hispanic/Latino population has grown by 63.4 percent accounting for 350,000, or 3.1 percent, of Ohio's total population. With this in mind, registration for the November 7th Ohio Hispanic Workforce and Economic Development Summit presented by Center for Hispanic Leadership (CHL) Ohio Chapter in conjunction with the Ohio Commission on Hispanic/Latino Affairs closes at midnight tonight.

Many Hispanic business owners and leaders are faced with the inability to consistently create and sustain relationships with Fortune 500 corporations; thus they are not at the forefront of supplier diversity programs. Revenue generating and job creation opportunities are not being seized fast enough. The Summit will bring together financial institutions such as Fifth Third Bank and major corporations such as the Coca-Cola Company and Honda that have lined up to sponsor this event as a testament to their commitment to providing high-caliber training to current and future Hispanic businesses owners and professionals in Ohio order maintain these companies’ competitive advantage in an increasingly global economy.

“As an increasing segment of the population, Hispanics in Ohio are in need of workforce and economic development to make an even greater contribution to Ohio’s economy,” says Rafi Rodriguez, CHL Ohio Chapter President. “We are focused on cultivating Hispanic talent and providing them with the necessary professional tools and network to reach new heights."
