Regions Hospital Reports Success with BESLER’s BVerified(SM) Suite of Revenue Recovery Solutions
Date:3/28/2013

Princeton, NJ (PRWEB) March 28, 2013

BESLER Consulting, a leading provider of comprehensive revenue recovery services to healthcare organizations, is pleased to announce that Regions Hospital of St. Paul, Minnesota has reported significant revenue recoveries through the use of BESLER’s BVerified(SM) Transfer DRG and IME web-based tools.

Under Medicare reimbursement regulations, when certain patients are discharged to post acute care, the discharging hospital is paid at a reduced rate. In some cases, this reduced payment is not justified by the actual post-discharge care. These underpayments are not reflective of coding or billing errors on the part of the provider, but more commonly result from a change in the planned course of treatment subsequent to discharge. BESLER’s BVerified(SM) suite of web-based solutions automates the work of identifying, prioritizing and recovering Medicare underpayments.

“We’ve recovered significant revenue with the BESLER BVerified(SM) tools,” says Rick Roberts, Reimbursement Manager at Regions Hospital. “The return on investment has been compelling. We’re also very pleased with the software’s ease of use and the support we’ve received from BESLER.”

“Regions Hospital was previously a client for our Transfer DRG and IME revenue recovery consulting services,” stated Jonathan Besler, BESLER’s President and Chief Executive Officer. “The hospital expressed a desire to take the process in-house, and our BVerified(SM) technology was a perfect fit.”
