Rechtman & Spevak is a law firm in Atlanta, Georgia that represents clients who have been wrongfully injured by negligent and/or reckless drivers in every type of traffic accident that can occur. The firm has always focused on driver and passenger safety in the area, and the attorneys at the firm have recently reviewed the annual Allstate America's Best Drivers Report, which ranks the 200 largest cities in the United States in terms of overall traffic safety. Motorists in Atlanta need to know that the city did not earn a high ranking in 2013.

Specifically, the report, a link to which can be found here, ranks the 200 largest cities in terms of motorist safety by making use of several different criteria including the average number of years between car accidents for a driver in that city and the likelihood of a driver being involved in a car accident relative to the national average. These variables were used in order to avoid disparities in the raw number of car accidents based on the differences in population between the cities included in the annual survey.

According to the results of the survey, Atlanta was found to be only the 164th safest city in the United States out of the 200 that were included. This low ranking was based on the facts that drivers typically go an average of 7.7 years between car accidents in the area and that this duration is 30.6 percent shorter than the national average. This ranking at number 164 also represents a drop from the 2012 survey in which Atlanta was ranked number 161.
