ReachMD XM 157 to Present Stand Up To Cancer Special as the Only Live Simulcast on XM Satellite Radio for Health Care Professionals

field of cancer research.

CHICAGO, Sept. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- ReachMD(TM) announced today that it will offer the exclusive XM Satellite broadcast to health care professionals of Stand Up To Cancer, the ground-breaking cancer research fundraising event to air Friday, September 5. ReachMD XM 157 joins the major TV networks of ABC, CBS and NBC in simultaneously broadcasting the special live and commercial-free event at 8pm ET and PT, 7pm CT and MT.

As a lead-in to the live simulcast, ReachMD XM 157 will broadcast exclusive interviews especially for physicians, nurses, and their patients to hear updates on cancer research and this innovative research grant program. The interviews feature Dr. Phillip Sharp, MIT Cancer Institute Professor and former director of MIT's Center for Cancer Research and chair of the Scientific Advisory Committee; and Dr. Raymond N. DuBois, provost and executive vice president of University of Texas' M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.

In a continuing partnership following the event broadcast, ReachMD will report on the progress made by the innovative Stand Up To Cancer research model and their scientists to see how this effort is paying dividends in the research and academic community.
