GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., Jan. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Ranir, LLC, a leading consumer products oral care company, announced today that it has acquired Placontrol, Inc., a foremost manufacturer and marketer of interdental oral care products under the Plackers(R) trademark. Headquartered in San Diego, California, Placontrol is the founder of the convenience dental flosser. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Ranir, headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan manufactures and markets consumer oral care products to leading retail customers and branded oral care companies in North America. Led by CEO Christine Henisee, Ranir has expanded its sales platform to include serving virtually all top chain drug stores, mass merchandisers, supermarkets, and discount retailers in North America along with some key global branded oral care companies. Ranir has an extensive line of consumer oral care products, including tooth-whitening wraps, whitening trays, dissolving whitening strips, manual and power toothbrushes, dental floss and flossers, travel kits, night protectors, and other oral care accessories.
