Radius Ventures Announces Promotion of Dr. David Stoffel to Partner

NEW YORK, Dec. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Radius Ventures, a health and life sciences focused venture capital firm has announced that Dr. David Stoffel has been named Partner of the firm.

"We are pleased to name David to the role of Partner", said Jordan Davis, Managing Partner of Radius. "David has demonstrated an outstanding ability to select and manage investments and we are excited to have his energy and continued contribution as we develop Radius into a leading health and life sciences venture capital organization".

Dr. Stoffel joined Radius in 2003 and has played an active role in building the Radius portfolio in the biotechnology and medical device sectors. Previously, Dr. Stoffel worked at Credit Suisse First Boston in the Healthcare Investment Banking group, where he worked with clients ranging from biotechnology and medical device startups to large cap pharmaceutical companies. Dr. Stoffel has conducted National Institute of Health-sponsored research in diabetes and has published or presented work in areas such as prostate cancer and pediatric urology. Dr. Stoffel has served a director or observer to several Radius portfolio companies and is currently an advisor to the Deshpahnde Center for Technical Innovation at MIT. He earned a BA in Economics from Stanford University and a combined M.D. and MBA from the University of Chicago.
