10:00—10:30 AM and 2:00—2:30 PM
Sy Albakri, PhD, Clinical and Scientific Affairs Manager, Radiometer America

The Most Common Preanalytical Errors and How to Avoid Them
Wednesday, July 30, 2014
10:00—10:30 AM and 3:00—3:30 PM
Anne Skurup, MSc, Clinical and Scientific Affairs Manager, Radiometer Medical A/S

Participants will receive informational packets on the presentation topics.

In addition to the scheduled presentations, Radiometer will demonstrate its commitment to helping lab professionals simplify and automate all phases of blood gas testing with a booth focus on the company’s 1st Automatic solution. Laboratory professionals challenged by the increasingly rigorous requirements of today’s healthcare environment are invited to consult with Radiometer booth experts on the possible benefits of a 1st Automatic solution for their hospital.

Combining analyzers, samplers and IT, 1st Automatic is designed to address several significant challenges facing the healthcare professional involved in blood gas testing. These include the need to ensure positive patient identification, reduce preanalytical errors, and prevent needlesticks and blood exposure.

Radiometer will incorporate 1st Automatic stations throughout the booth for visitors interested in a demonstration. Radiometer’s complete point-of-care and benchtop analyzer line—ABL80 FLEX, ABL90 FLEX and ABL800 FLEX—will be 1st Automatic-enabled.
