"AMICAS offers the industry's most comprehensive automation solutions available for radiology practices," said Daniel Stricof, MD, CEO of Radiology Ltd. "We look forward to working with AMICAS to implement and improve a top- flight suite of products designed to help radiology practices achieve operational excellence while providing outstanding patient care."

Radiology Ltd. is a private practice consisting of 45 plus radiologists operating 10 private imaging centers and providing coverage for 3 hospitals in the greater Tucson area. Radiology Ltd. has been an AMICAS PACS customer for several years.

"We are very pleased to extend our partnership with Radiology Ltd.," said Stephen Kahane, chairman and CEO of AMICAS. "Radiology Ltd. is one of the country's elite radiology practices. With their expertise as practitioners of radiology and our focus on providing top-flight radiology automation solutions, we believe that we can jointly usher in a new era of productivity for radiology practices."

"We could not possibly be more efficient than we are with our AMICAS PACS today," said Dr. Stricof. "We look forward to replacing our legacy systems with the rest of the AMICAS product suite in order to realize the same level of efficiency throughout our operations. AMICAS has been a leading innovator in radiology automation and we have reaped the benefits of their focus and capabilities. We are excited to get to the next level with AMICAS."

Under the terms of the agreement, Radiology Ltd. will complement their existing PACS system with the entire suite of AMICAS radiology automation products, including systems to support scheduling, report production, document management, and comprehensive revenue cycle management.

Also, Radiology Ltd. will complement their existing Vision Series(TM) PACS deployment with both Vision Reach(TM) and RadStream(TM). Vision Reach is an innovative zero client results distribution tool and portal designed specifically for referring physicians. RadStream makes possible the automation and documentation of critical results communication and the prioritization of imaging exams based on a "most likely to interrupt" method.

Under the terms of the agreement, Radiology Ltd. will replace their legacy RIS and billing solutions with the Vision Series RIS and Vision Series Financials platforms, respectively. These solutions leverage modern technology to automate the complex scheduling and revenue cycle management needs of radiology practices.

Radiology Ltd. will round out their AMICAS solution suite with Insight Dashboards(TM). A Web-based business intelligence platform, Insight Dashboards provides access to customized, easy-to-read graphical data for key performance metrics and indicators. Insight Dashboards provides the ability to evaluate clinical factors such as technologist productivity, as well as operational factors including asset efficiency or accounts receivable aging.

"AMICAS has a highly focused, yet comprehensive approach to automating radiology practices," said Dr. Stricof. "Their current product suite and product roadmap provide everything we need to fully automate our practice and support highly efficient and effective relationships with our hospitals and referring physicians."

AMICAS offers an integrated RIS, PACS, document management, and revenue cycle management solution for radiology practices and other imaging businesses. The entire AMICAS product suite will be showcased at the Radiological Society of North America's (RSNA) annual meeting from November 25 to 30 in Chicago, IL. AMICAS will be in booth # 2583.
