RCRC IRB announces new service -- oversight of research supported by or conducted by the US Department of Health and Human Services.

Austin, TX (PRWEB) September 25, 2009 -- RCRC Independent Review Board, providing ethical review services for greater than 20 years, announced today that it will provide oversight of research supported or conducted by a federal department or agency within the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

This research is governed by HHS regulations -- Title 45, Part 46, Code of Federal Regulations (45 CFR part 46). RCRC has modified its policies to ensure compliance with these regulations.

RCRC is also subject to regulation by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for its oversight of FDA regulated research involving drug, devices, and biologics.

RCRC is registered with the US Department of Health and Human Services IRB Registration System.
