R&J Public Relations Selected to Promote MAQUET Inc.'s VARIOP Operating Room Suite in North America
Date:12/8/2008

BRIDGEWATER, N.J., Dec. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- R&J Public Relations, a leading brand-building public relations firm, announced it has been retained to engage in public relations initiatives to promote MAQUET Inc.'s VARIOP operating room suite in North America. MAQUET is a leading global provider of medical equipment and systems known for high quality, cost-effective state-of-the-art technologies.

MAQUET has been installing VARIOP in hospitals in Europe for more than 25 years, and has currently outfitted nearly 2,000 hospitals in Europe with the product. The company recently completed its first-ever installation of VARIOP in North America, with the completion of a large suite of VARIOP operating rooms at Spartanburg Regional in Spartanburg, S.C.

VARIOP, consisting of prefabricated modules whose framework is made up of profiled floor rails, vertical supports and ceiling rails, can be configured to adapt to both new construction as well as remodeling projects. This allows the system to be easily installed in less time and with less disruption and mess than traditional construction methods.

"Our work for MAQUET will help North America's hospitals lower their long-term costs of outfitting and retrofitting operating rooms, yielding them less disruption and increased revenue," said John Lonsdorf, president of R&J Public Relations. "In today's challenging healthcare finance environment, VARIOP will yield immediate benefits for hospitals."
