R. Shane Jackson Named President of

Physician Recruitment Firm Will Grow Through Leadership Development and Technological Efficiency

Alpharetta, Ga. (Vocus) September 9, 2008 -- [Jackson Healthcare] (JH) has named R. Shane Jackson president of Alpharetta, Ga.-based []. Working with the physician recruitment firm's owner-management team, Jackson will oversee a five-year plan to enhance leadership development and technological efficiency at all levels of the organization.

"Our board of directors recommended Shane because of his business acumen, his recruiting industry knowledge and his understanding of the larger healthcare industry," JH Chief Executive Officer Richard L. The son of a pioneer in physician search, the new president began working in the physician recruiting industry during his high school years. After earning a bachelors degree in business administration from Harding University, the younger Jackson has launched several successful businesses. In 2000 he joined the Jackson Healthcare family, co-founding and acting as president of NextStart Capital to provide financial advisory and merger/acquisition services.

From 2003 until mid-2006 Jackson also served as president of Patient Placement Systems, a healthcare technology company focused on automating the patient referral process. Since 2006, Jackson has been the Executive Vice President of Jackson Healthcare, overseeing several of JH's portfolio companies and operations.

Jackson holds an MBA, with honors, from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University where he was one of a distinguished group of students selected for the institution's accelerated three-semester degree program.
