Queens Dentist Now Offers DentalVibe to Make Dental Implants Pain-Free

Cosmetic dentists Dr. Marianna Knop, DDS and Dr. Andrey Ilyabayev, DDS will be offering the new, pain-free injection instrument DentalVibe for dental implants and other procedures at Gentle Dental, their Queens location. According to recent research from the American Association of Endodontists, more than half (54%) of people are afraid of getting dental implants. The AAE also points to the fear of pain as the main reason people avoid going to the dentist. Drs. Knop and Ilyabayev wish to remedy the problem by offering their patients a comfortable and anxiety-free experience in the dentist’s chair.

“The best thing we can offer our patients is painless and compassionate care, especially for a fear-inducing procedure like a dental implant,” Dr. Knop said. “And DentalVibe’s onset is practically instant, so I can begin working right away. This reduces the amount of time the patient might wait nervously for the procedure to start and leads to a less stressful overall experience.”

DentalVibe uses microprocessor-controlled technology to deliver a pulsed, percussive vibration to the anesthetic injection site. This vibration results in a counter-stimulation that blocks any pain caused by needle insertion. The phenomenon is backed by science, as the sensation of vibration has been shown to reach the brain first and close the gate on the feeling of pain by releasing inhibitory inter-neurons.

Dental implant surgery inserts a screw-like metal post into the bone of the jaw. A prosthetic tooth is then attached to the post, filling in a gap left by a missing or damaged natural tooth. With local anesthesia, there is actuall
