QHR'S Terry Peeples Named 2010 Grassroots Champion by American Hospital Association

Terry Peeples, a 23-year veteran of QHR who serves as CEO of Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, has been named a 2010 American Hospital Association (AHA) Grassroots Champion. The award, presented annually, celebrates individuals who demonstrate dedication to their hospital's mission (both locally and nationally), and who generate grassroots community activity and support.

Brentwood, Tenn (PRWEB) February 18, 2010 -- Terry Peeples, a 23-year veteran of QHR who serves as CEO of Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, has been named a 2010 American Hospital Association (AHA) Grassroots Champion. The award, presented annually, celebrates individuals who demonstrate dedication to their hospital's mission (both locally and nationally), and who generate grassroots community activity and support. Peeples, chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Kentucky Hospital Association, will be honored at the AHA's "Breakfast of Grassroots Champions" on April 27 in Washington. D.C.

According to the AHA, Peeples was selected for this award for effectively delivering the Jennie Stuart Medical Center message to elected officials; helping broaden the base of community support; and advocating tirelessly on behalf of the patients, hospital and community he serves. In addition to serving as CEO of Jennie Stuart Medical Center and chair of the Kentucky Hospital Association, Peeples has also served as chair of the Hopkinsville-Christian County Chamber of Commerce, Hopkinsville's United Way Campaign and its American Heart Association Heart Walk.
