Publication Provides a Wake-Up Call For Clinicians Treating ...( MONTVALE N.J. April 9 /- Narcolep...),Health

MONTVALE, N.J., April 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Narcolepsy remains underdiagnosed and undertreated even though this neurologic dysfunction is better understood and the available treatment options have increased in the last decade.

To help health care providers and psychiatrists treat this neurologic sleep disorder, The Journal of Family Practice and Current Psychiatry have published the supplement "Stay awake! Understanding, diagnosing, and successfully managing narcolepsy." This CME supplement uses a case-based approach to help clinicians identify and treat narcolepsy. This publication also provides a concise review of the epidemiology and pathophysiology of this sleep disorder.
